Maine is blessed to have responsible politicians on both sides of the aisle.

State Rep. Mike Beaulieu, R-Auburn, recently stood up to the tea drinkers in his party and voted to bond a bill that will maintain what is both Maine’s splendor and one of the best reasons that both tourists and progressive businesses want to come here — the mountains and woodlands, supported by Land for Maine’s Future bonds, with money borrowed at interest rates that are more affordable now than at any time in memory.

Beaulieu is well liked by all in Augusta, as well as Auburn, and has often shown his independence and desire to do “the right thing.” I appreciate that.
