CARTHAGE — Steven P. “Stevie” Virgin, 57, of Grover Bridge Road in Carthage passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 28, at his residence , with his soul mate by his side.
He was born in Syracuse, N.Y., on March 17, 1955, a son of Wallace F. and Ileane (Crozier) Virgin.
Stevie was educated in Syracuse and Maine schools and was a graduate of Dirigo High School Class of 1973.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1975 to 1978.
Stevie was an extremely talented tattooist and loved to play pool at the Eagles. He was a member of the APA Pool Association and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 1248 in Rumford.
Stevie will be fondly remembered as a fun loving jokester and a big-hearted teddy bear.
He loved the times that he shared with his soul mate, Amanda, and spending time with family and friends — especially his best friend, Lester.
Surviving is his soul mate of 27 years, Amanda J. Chase of Carthage; a sister, Mary Virgin-Brooks and husband, Carl, of Dixfield; and nieces, Brielle Virgin-Brooks of Portland and Jazmine Virgin-Brooks of Bangor.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Wallace Virgin.
