AUBURN — Red Eddie Basketball Camp is now taking registrations for the 2012 summer season.

In eight years, the camp has grown to 120 kids per day, quickly becoming one of the largest coed basketball day camps in Maine.

Red Eddie Camp is directed by Mike Adams, Edward Little boys’ coach, and Craig Jipson, girls’ coach. Adams and Jipson have combined for more than 350 career wins and 12 coach of the year awards. Many former players are on college rosters throughout New England, and the two programs consistently make runs deep into the high school tournament. Current varsity players serve has camp counselors and coaches.

The camp focuses on players’ individual skill development and fundamentals of the game. Players are grouped by age and skill level, allowing this camp to serve beginning players and experienced travel team players. Players may sign up by the session or for the entire summer. This camp serves players entering grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Camp begins June 18 with the last session ending July 26.

Lewiston girls’ basketball clinic announced

LEWISTON — Lewiston High School will hold a girls’ basketball skills and drills clinjic at Geiger Elementary School for Lewiston girls entering grades six through eight. Basketball fundamentals will be stressed.

The clinic will begin June 18 and continue for two weeks, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Cost is $30. Please register by calling John Hesler at 782-3948 or Alicia Pelletier at 577-5764.
