LIVERMORE FALLS — The Livermore Falls Women’s Club met for the last session of the fiscal year on May 24 at the Weathervane restaurant in Readfield.

After the business meeting, Co-President Gail Slade introduced Jill Brown of Safe Voices Domestic Violence Shelter coordinator in Lewiston.

Slade presented Brown with dozens of “I Feel Pretty” bags that had been assembled at a previous workshop. The bags contain the personal care items that a woman leaves when she enters a shelter. Some bags had also been prepared for men and children. Brown spoke about the mission of the shelter.

Slade then introduced Kathy Jolicoeur of Crown Court Day Spa, Wilton. She gave tips on how to use different products. A lunch was served.

The next meeting will be installation of officers in September, the first meeting of a new administration. The club, part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, an international organization, is open to all women in the area.

Anyone interested in joining or attending as a guest should contact Slade at 897-2158 or Jackie Deshaies at 897-3698.
