Summer reading program

PARIS — Hamlin Memorial Library’s Summer Reading Program will run from June 15 through Aug. 15. Every child who reads for at least 500 minutes will be awarded a free book of his or her choice. The top reader will win a $25 gift card to Amazon.com.

Stop by the library to pick up a reading log before June 15. Each child who participates in the program will receive a voucher for free admission to a Portland Sea Dogs game. Contact the library for more information at 743-2980 or hamlinstaff@hamlin.lib.me.us.

YWCA camp reunion

LINCOLNVILLE — Tanglewood 4H Camp will host a YWCA Camp alumni reunion from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16.

Anyone who was a camper, counselor, staff member, relative or friend at Camp Tanglewood between 1939 and 1972 is invited to participate in a day of reminiscing, sharing stories and discovery. The 4-H Camp will provide snacks and lunch, but preregistration and a $5 donation for lunch is encouraged.

Participants in the reunion are encouraged to bring photos and memorabilia which they can share.

Indoor yard sale

WATERFORD — An indoor yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 16, on Plummer Hill, next to the church.

See the new set up and new items. There will be a good selection of books, plenty of children and adult games, as well as a great selection of dishes at low prices for teens setting up for college.

Breakfast on Father’s Day

HARRISON — On Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17, The Harrison VFW, on the Waterford Road, will hold its popular public breakfast from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the post on Route 35. The breakfast features scrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, biscuits and country gravy, bacon, sausage, home fries, fruit cup, sweet breads, orange juice and beverage. Donations will be accepted.

Yard sale donations needed

NORWAY — The American Legion is seeking good, clean used or like-new items such as furniture, sporting goods, electronics, tools, toys and household goods for a yard sale to be held Friday and Saturday, July 20 and 21, at Great Scott’s Storage, Route 26, Oxford. The sale will benefit local veterans.
