AUBURN — Doris F. Rodrigue, 79, of 76 Morris Ave., Lewiston, passed away Sunday, June 10, at the Androscoggin Hospice House following a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston, May 8, 1933, the daughter of Albert and Amanda (Beauchesne) Levasseur. She was educated in local schools and shortly following her education, she married Andre J. Rodrigue from Quebec, Canada, Nov. 15, 1952. She enjoyed her 60 years of marriage working as a loving homemaker to her husband and children.

Inseparable from her husband, she traveled extensively by his side with their children. A member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Sabattus, she enjoyed her flower gardens, knitting slippers, having fun in the sun and on the beaches, cooking and storytelling.

She is survived by her husband, Andre J. Rodrigue of Lewiston; her sons, Ronald Rodrigue and companion, Marie Stevens, of Blounts Creek, N.C., and Marc Rodrigue and wife, Patricia, of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Andre Rodrigue and wife, Tabitha, Thomas Rodrigue and wife, Hillary and Milene Rodrigue; three stepgrandchildren, Shane and James Libby and Michele Cardinal; four stepgreat-grandchildren, Dylan, Bryce, Isaac and Desiree; and her daughter-in-law, Theresa Fortin of Pennsylvania.

She was predeceased by her daughterm Diane Rodriguel her son, Thomas Rodrigue; her brothers, Thomas, Robert and Romeo Levasseur; and her sisters, Rita Levasseur and Juliette Guay.
