AUGUSTA — The Jobs for Maine Graduates program held its 20th annual Career Development Center  on April 27 at the Augusta Civic Center.

Gov. LePage, a big fan of JMG, came to speak with the students as a guest speaker. There were more than 600 students and more than 40 schools from all over Maine including Lewiston Regional Technical Center.

The JMG Career Development Conference is an employability skills competition that students attend and compete against each other. Competitions include mock interview, decision making, communication exercises and many other notable employment skills.

The Lewiston Regional Technical group of students competed with distinction in several categories: Decision Making, first place, Mohamed Ismail, Thomas Mufalo and Connor Whelan; Public Speaking, second place, Abdirahman Hussein; Market Place Expo, second place, Ashlee Murch and Alec Turcotte; Time to Shine, third place, Ahmed Elabe and Dahir Muktar.
