LIVERMORE FALLS — RSU 73 directors are expected to decide Thursday on an option to house high school students in 2012-13.

The special board meeting begins at 6 p.m. June 21 at the Spruce Mountain Middle School cafeteria in Jay.

Student survey results on options are expected to be in and discussed.

The options to be considered include leasing portable classrooms for 12 to 18 months to move the students and staff this summer to the high school campus in Jay.

The cost for-six, two-classroom, portable units for 12 months would be $115,488, including setup, according to information provided previously by Superintendent Robert Wall.

For 18 months, it would be $143,400.

Other options include keeping both high schools open, modifying proposed additions and renovations and having another vote, and a three-year lease of portables.

On May 8, voters in all three towns rejected a proposed $5.3 million addition/renovation project that would have been built on the Spruce Mountain High School North Campus in Jay.
