KINGFIELD — Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man they say used a silver handgun to steal money from Tranten’s Too variety store on Main Street on Monday night.
No one was injured in the incident, but an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
The man was wearing a red bandanna, black sweatshirt and blue jeans and carrying a gun and camouflage knapsack, county dispatcher Stan Wheeler said. He is described as a white man, 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 185 pounds.
The robbery was reported at 7:58 p.m.
Cpl. Stephen Charles is heading the investigation.
