RUMFORD — Irene Billings, 89, of Milton Township, died Monday, June 18, in Rumford.

She was born April 14, 1923, the daughter of Frank and Florence Downs Burgess. On June 15, 1945, she married Gerald Billings Sr.

Irene was a member of the Peru Senior Citizens; she was a NASCAR fan, and loved watching old movies, westerns and wrestling.

She is survived by three daughters, Jennie Fillmore and her husband, Lou, Joyce Pingree and Janice Bennett and her husband, Danny; a son, Reggie Billings and his wife, Valerie; a sister Etta Parlin; 18 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband; two daughters, Evelyn Billings and Janice Billings; a son, Gerald Billings Jr.; and a son-in-law, Stonwood Pingree.
