AUBURN – Mechanics Savings Bank recently donated $1,000 to the Lewiston-based Advocates for Children organization.
The funds will be used to support programs that promote the well-being of the community’s children by keeping them safe, preventing child maltreatment and providing parents and families with information and skills that empower them to lead healthy, productive lives.
Mechanics Savings Bank is a full-service community bank with branches in Androscoggin and Cumberland counties. Each month the bank’s contributions committee reviews incoming requests from nonprofits seeking funding for community-based programs. Mechanics has provided more than $1 million in charitable giving to local causes over the past 10 years.
