AUBURN — Lawrence the Eagle, from the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray, will be appearing along with special guests Moxie Moose and Kennebago Bear, from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Festival Plaza, prior to the Auburn Community Concert Band performance, weather permitting.

Lawrence is a 7-year-old bald eagle that has lived at the Wildlife Park since he was found injured as an eaglet. Falling from a tree during a windstorm, his wing was so badly broken it had to be amputated. Because of his injury, he is unable to fly.

Appearing with Lawrence will be Pam Richardson, his trainer, and program coordinator Sarah Smith, who will share information about the new buildings being constructed at the park, the new animals residing there and special admission opportunities available to all residents through their local libraries.

The musical theme for the evening is “Around the World in 80 Minutes” and will include many well-known tunes from the stage and screen.
