Blood drive July 6

FARMINGTON — The American Red Cross will conduct a blood drive at Franklin Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 6, from 1-6 p.m. in the Bass Room. All presenting blood donors will receive a free Red Sox T-shirt celebrating 100 years of Fenway Park.

The supply of Type O positive, O negative, B negative and A negative blood is at critical levels and donors are needed to help replenish the current supply and prevent a further drop, according to the American Red Cross.

Donors may safely give blood through the Red Cross every eight weeks. Eligible donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good health.

To schedule an appointment, contact the American Red Cross at 1-800-RED-CROSS or online at redcrossblood.org.
