Catchavibe will play on the Fourth

Maine reggae band Catchavibe will bring its brand of reggae fusion with deep grooves that inspire dancing to Turner’s community gazebo on Wednesday, July 4. The band of accomplished international musicians, songwriters, producers and master teachers includes Baraka Oyuru, percussion, keys and vocals; Mai Kheet, drums and vocals; Craig Raymond, guitar; Supra Dread, MC controller; and Wells Gordon, bass. Catchavibe will play after the 10 a.m. parade, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring a lawn chair. July Fourth festivities at the nearby Turner Public Library will include strawberry shortcake, book sales, face-painting and more. Turner Community Church will host a chicken barbecue.
