Peru Historical Society meeting

PERU — The Peru Historical Society will meet on Tuesday, July 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Peru Historical Society Building. It is recommended that members attend as there is an important discussion to be held.

Telstar High 20th reunion

BETHEL — Telstar Regional High School Class of 1992 will hold its 20th class reunion at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Rooster’s Roadhouse, Route 2. Snowshoe Club holding dance

RUMFORD — A dance will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at the Snowshoe Club. Music will be provided by Noel & Don.

Senior citizen appreciation dinner

RUMFORD — A senior citizen appreciation dinner will take place from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 8, at the Rumford Grange 115.

The meal will include turkey, potato, vegetable, pickles, biscuit and homemade pies by the Grange ladies.

Senior citizens 65 and older eat for free. The cost for other adults is $8. The cost for children under 12 is $3.50.

‘Lovely Librarians’ program planned

MEXICO — As part of the library’s “Terrific Tuesdays” summer programs for kids, the Mexico Public Library will host a “Lovely Librarians” Storytelling & Craft Hour at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 10.

Brenda Sassi and Michelle Boucher-Ladd will be the presenters for this fun program about owls, and will share both stories and “owl” crafts. Sassi has been a librarian for many years, most recently at Holy Savior School, and Ladd is currently a teacher at Holy Savior School, and a former librarian. Kids of any age are invited, although the focus group is for ages 2-12. Contact the library at 364-3281.

Lithuanian Heritage Club to meet

RUMFORD — The Lithuanian Heritage Club will meet at noon Wednesday, July 11, at Sam’s for their monthly meeting.
