DEAR SUN SPOTS: Do any of your readers know of any tattoo artist who has done realistic portrait-style rats. I am seeking an artist to do my rattoo. It must be in a color palette of blues and grays, as it is the true Russian blue. I am not looking for an artist who has never done a rat before, or an unrealistic style. No Internet or other computer nonsense. — No Name, Auburn

ANSWER: If you’re not willing to use online sources, Sun Spots doesn’t know how she can help you. Some things are just too specialized to be available in all locations, and rat tattoos appear to be one of them. (There are many sites with rat tattoo information and photos online.) But perhaps readers will have suggestions.

I believe her huge collection will be donated to a very worthy cause.

I was her landlady many years ago. — Jackie McMorran, Lewiston
