Sing to ME in Wilton

Local singer-songwriter

will perform his original music, contemporary folk with a touch of the blues, on Friday, July 13, at Baker’s Market Cafe in Wilton. His performance will include an original soundscape that uses the Tuvan throat-singing technique as an atmospheric device. The show, part of the occasional Sing to ME in Wilton series, will begin at 7 p.m. at the cafe at 285 Main St. Desserts and beverages will be available before the concert. Allan Kozinn, music reviewer for the New York Times, described Poirier’s “In the Morning” CD as “an enjoyable collection of beautifully wrought, winningly performed songs, rooted in the great, all-but-lost singer-songwriter tradition.”
