TURNER — SAD 52 Adult & Community Education is bringing back the popular Challenger Soccer Camp the week of July 23-27. Mini session from 9 to 10:30 a.m. is for youngsters ages 4-5. It features fun games, competitions and skill-building activities designed to enlighten and develop budding players.

Half day session, for ages 6-14, runs from 9 a.m. to noon. Emphasis is placed upon skill development and mastery of core techniques through individual and small group practices and coached games.

A more advanced full day camp for ages 7-14 runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is for serious players and focuses on game-related techniques, tactical development and coached match play. Register for any of these soccer camps online at www.challengersports.com

The skills needed to play field hockey will be featured in clinics also running the week of July 23. Clinics for grades K through six are for residents and non-residents. Grades seven through 12 clinic is open to Tripp Middle School and LAHS students only.

Tumbling enhances coordination, strength, flexibility and balance and classes also start July 23 for ages 5-8, 9-12 and 12-plus. Students will learn some new moves and have fun. Tumbling is for cheerleaders, dancers, acrobats, gymnasts and everyone else.

Another class starting July 23 is Wacky Science Camp for ages 8-12. Learn how to build a volcano in your kitchen sink, dye the petals on flowers and launch a rocket using Alka-Seltzer.

Sign up for Adult/Pediatric CPR/AED & First Aid to be held on July 24. Students will learn the skills necessary to recognize and provide care for breathing, choking and cardiac emergencies. Receive ARC certification that is valid for two years.
