AUBURN — Paula A. Giguere, 58, of Auburn, passed away Sunday, July 15, following a long battle with leukemia at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice with her family at her side.

She was born in Lewiston, May 7, 1954, a daughter of Roland W. and Pauline (Levesque) Giguere. She attended local schools graduating from Edward Little High School in 1954. She also attended college for a couple of years before going to work.

She worked as a printer for several newspapers in various states including Florida and Maine. Paula also worked at L.L. Bean, which she enjoyed immensely.

She was a very active member of the New Auburn Legion. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, arts and crafts, gardening and had a very special love of golf, especially at Prospect Hill Golf Course, where she was very highly regarded by all who played there.

She loved all animals, in particular her dog “Pippa.” All these things were special to her, but none more so than being a godmother to her nephew, Jesse Hearn.

Paula is survived by her mother, Pauline (Levesque) Giguere of Florida; three brothers, Mike Giguere and his wife, Brenda, of Auburn, Roland Giguere of Auburn and Mark Giguere and his companion, Lynne Profeno, of Auburn; three sisters, Sue Chabot and her husband. Daniel. of Poland, Donna Hearn of Cape Cod. Mass., and Ann Giguere of Auburn; eight nieces; one nephew; and nine great-nieces and nephews.

Paula was predeceased by her father, Roland W. Giguere in 1995; and her grandparents.
