RANGELEY — The next Ladies/Community Breakfast with everyone invited to attend will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Rangeley Inn on Main Street.

RANGELEY — The RFA Annual Street dance will be held in downtown Rangeley from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 25. The band will be Scott and Joe and friends, playing music from the Beatles to the Stones. Middle eastern dance troupe Scherezade will also perform.

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Elks will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at the lodge, 120 School St.

Motorcycle ride benefits vets

LEWISTON — The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, Chapter 17-1, will hold a fundraising ride Saturday, July 28, to benefit veterans who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The proceeds will help pay for veterans and their families to attend Camp Kiev on Damariscotta Lake in Nobleboro, where veterans and their families can relax and enjoy indoor and outdoor activities free of charge. This is the second year of the program at the camp, which is also known as Camp Wabis.

The association-sponsored ride will begin at 10:30 a.m. at L-A Harley-Davidson, 839 Main St., and end nearly 40 miles later at Camp Kiev. Anyone interested in participating is welcome. The cost is $20 for motorcycle and driver and $10 for passengers.

Ditzler Library book sale

NEW SHARON — A book sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at the Jim Ditzler Memorial Library.

Paperback books are 50 cents each or $4 per bag. Hardcovers are $1 each or $8 per bag. Audio books on cassette, VHS movies and puzzles are 25 cents each or five for $1. Some items will be free.

Proceeds will be used to benefit the library programs. For more information, call 779-1128.
