LEWISTON — Carbonite, 24 Mollison Way, has recently celebrated the anniversary of its first year of operation.

It opened its office in June of last year. Carbonite offers online services to back up valuable — often irreplaceable — digital data and documents. It has grown to 180 employees over the course of the first year and has promoted 30 of its employees so far. A company official stated that it will continue to hire both customer support and technical support for the Lewiston office.

The official stated that moving customer service back to the United States — and to Lewiston — was an investment in customer experience and well worth the resources devoted to it.
