FARMINGTON — The Holman Parish House, 227 Main St., will be the host location for annual “Pie On The Porch” to be held on Friday, July 27, as part of the Farmington Downtown SummerFest.

Members and friends of Old South First Congregational Church, UCC will be serving up slices of homemade pie, strawberry shortcake and bread pudding, along with iced tea and lemonade from 1 to 6 p.m. The cost for dessert and beverage is $4. Side serving of vanilla ice cream is available for 50 cents extra.

Entertainment will feature homegrown music including instrumentals and vocals. Entertainment schedule is shaping up to feature Sturgis Butler on fiddle and Jackie Ranco on keyboard at 1 p.m. At 1:30 Chrissy Poulson with dynamic vocals and guitar. Franklin County fiddler Silas Rogers and friends will offer up a host of tunes from 2 to 3 p.m. Area vocal students will be performing “Summer Time” theme selections from 3 to 5 p.m. organized by Jane Parker and other area vocal teachers. The Achords with Brent Laflin and Mike Fraley will be featured from 5 to 5:30 p.m. and Alexayiah Backman and friends will be harmonizing and winding up the afternoon from 5:30 to 6 p.m.

In case of rain the event will take place at the Old South Church vestry/assembly room. Proceeds will benefit the community service, outreach and youth programs.
