AUBURN — Sandra Nugent Blackwell, 67, of Lewiston, passed away July 23, at the Androscoggin Hospice House with her family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston, Oct. 13, 1944, to Frank and Mary (Bonneau) Nugent.

God joined her and Dennis Paul Blackwell from Cundy’s Harbor on Aug. 29, 1970, at St. Patrick’s Chapel. Together they were blessed with a wonderful son.

On Jan. 21, 2009, her dear husband passed away very suddenly from a massive heart attack.

Sandy leaves her very special son, Dennis P. Blackwell Jr. and his sweet wife, Jessica; her two precious little grandsons, Gregory Allen and Jacob Dennis; her sister, Helen (Al) Wermuth; godmother, Catherine Howard; her wonderful nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and a couple great-great little ones.

Beside her parents and her husband, Sandy was predeceased by her sweet brother, Mike and his wife, Terri, from New Jersey.

Dennis and Sandy are now joined again.
