JAY – An ongoing neighbor dispute, not reported to police in the previous three weeks, escalated in to a physical altercation early Sunday with one neighbor hitting the other with a truck.

Tony J. DeMillo, 38, of Davis Road in Jay was arrested Sunday on a charge of misdemeanor reckless conduct, Jay Detective Richard Caton IV said Monday.

A neighbor of DeMillo’s was calling DeMillo names, and DeMillo got into his truck drove over and pulled into the neighbor’s driveway, striking the man with the front of the vehicle, Caton said.

The neighbor, Hank Crockett, was knocked to the ground but declined medical treatment, he said.

Police officer Mike Booker assisted Caton at the scene.

Unbeknownst to police there had been an ongoing dispute between the two for the past few weeks, he said.

DeMillo posted $250 cash bail and was released later Sunday. He is scheduled to appear on Sept. 21 in 12th District Court in Farmington.
