LEWISTON — The Maine Community Foundation in partnership with College for ME-Androscoggin has announced the winners of Thomas W. Musgrave and Beulah Long Musgrave Fund Scholarships in Androscoggin County. This scholarship provides support for tuition and fees for adult learners who are enrolled in an accredited program of study leading to a degree, certification or similar recognition. College for ME-Androscoggin will award $1,000 scholarships to the following four students:
Kristie Feeley, Lewiston, University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College
Celina Gauthier, Auburn, University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College
Jennifer Leighton, Auburn, Central Maine Community College
Sherry Monteith, Lewiston, University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College
The recipients were selected on the basis of their personal statements, letters of recommendation and financial need. Preference was given to those applicants for whom the scholarship would make a significant difference in their ability to attend school. Recipients may reapply once for this scholarship if they are in good academic standing at their college at the time of reapplication.
College for ME-Androscoggin will award another group of $1,000 scholarships for the spring 2013 semester. Applications will be available in the late fall at www.collegeformeandroscoggin.org.
