LEWISTON — Robert Sylvain and the Cajun Aces de Douce will fill Fountain Park with foot-stomping Louisiana sounds at noon Thursday, Aug. 2, as part of L/A Arts’ Sounds of Summer concert series.

The group, complete with horn section, performs classic Cajun material as brought to them by fiddler Matthew Doucet, who returned to his native Louisiana two years after starting the band with Sylvain in 2004.

The Aces are Haakon “The Hawk” Kallweit on upright bass, a veteran on the Portland music scene; and Marc Chillemi, who heads the horn section variously including Ryan Zoidis on saxophone and Eric Ambrose on trombone. For more information on the Cajun Aces, visit www.thecajunaces.com/index.html.

The free concert will run from noon until 1 p.m. in the park at the Bates Mill. Rain site: Franco-American Heritage Center, 46 Cedar St.
