PARIS — Children have a few more weeks to participate in the Paris Public Library’s weekly math and reading quizzes. Each week, the library has been offering the Math Marvels or Word Wonders puzzles for children to complete and enter into a weekly drawing. The quizzes are offered at three levels of difficulty so children can choose the one most appropriate to their capabilities.

The first correct entry drawn in each contest receives the weekly $5 prize. Winners so far this summer have included Hannah Crocker, William Dieterich, Quillan Grover, Brynn Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Gabrielle McAllister, Ali Morgan and Kayla Stan.

The library’s Summer Reading Challenge concludes with an Ice Cream Sundae Party on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 1-3 p.m., with the distribution of rewards and the drawing for the Kindle Fire. Participants’ reading logs need to turned in by the end of Tuesday, Aug. 14. Children are receiving free Happy Meal from McDonald’s for the first 10 hours they read and book bags for the second 10.
