WILTON —Bob Simons and Renee Goodwin met more than 40 years ago on the folk music scene, then pursued independent music careers before forming an acoustic act in 2006.

Since then, they have performed a variety of styles of Americana music, including blues, soft rock, country and traditional folk — with original songs by Simons.

On Friday, Aug. 10, they will perform at 7 p.m. at Baker’s Market Cafe, as part of Sing to ME in Wilton, Maine, a series of occasional concerts showcasing local performers.

Simons and Goodwin are known for their easy stage presence, coming from years of friendship, and their intricate harmonies.

The cafe is at 285 Main St. in the downtown. Doors open at 6 p.m. For more information, call 645-7107.
