AUBURN — The Auburn Community Concert Band will give the final performance of its 11-week summer concert series on Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Festival Plaza, weather-permitting. There is no alternate rain site available.
Nick Racioppi, an acoustical guitarist, songwriter and vocalist, has been invited back to perform at 5:30 p.m. at the downtown Main Street location. His performance was canceled last Wednesday due to inclement weather. Racioppi favors a rock/reggae style of music.
Also rescheduled to appear at the plaza is Lawrence the Eagle, from the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray. Lawrence is a 7-year old bald eagle that has lived at the Wildlife Park since he was found injured as an eaglet. He is unable to fly. There will be photo opportunities from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m.
Starting at 7 p.m., the Auburn Community Concert Band will present its “Greatest Hits” concert of audience favorites over its past 30 summer seasons.The 75-minute program is free. Bring a lawn chair.
