DEAR SUN SPOTS: You helped me before and I need your help again. I’m 73 years old and in need of a twin-sized adjustable bed with a top that lifts, just like you would find in a hospital. I have been sleeping in a recliner for the last six months due to back problems and recovering from a severely broken left arm.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Re the Aug. 13 letter inquiring about a beeswax hand cream made by an old man who has since passed away.

My father, Bob Taylor, passed away nearly five years ago. He made an incredible salve for dry, cracked skin. People called him “Doc,” so he named it Doc’s Homemade Salve for Dry, Cracked Skin. It was made with beeswax straight from the hive, among other ingredients.

There is good news for agirardin and others looking to purchase this — if it was my dad’s salve they have had in the past. I found his recipe on his computer after he died and am now producing it, much to the delight of many of his customers. I can be reached at 357-2220. DEAR SUN SPOTS: My eldest brother recently passed away in California, and among his things his son found some pictures of the members of Monmouth Academy’s Class of 1937. We would like to see them find homes with either these people or their families.

The people I can identify are Mary Bean, Clifton Blaisdell, Ruth Burnham, Althea Crane, Oscar Hartford, Elsie Libby, Dorothy Pettingill, Marshall Pratt, Thelma Riggs, Iva Willard, Marshall Wing and Norman Wing. DEAR SUN SPOTS: Several people who attended the four little schools of Readfield — East Readfield, Readfield Depot, Giles Hall and the “Little” School on Kents Hill — before they closed in 1955 are anxious to have an alumni gathering of those “kids.” Most especially those who graduated, together from the Brick Church (Union Meeting House) on Church Road. But all alumni are welcome.
