YARMOUTH — Entries are being accepted through Friday, Sept. 21, for the fourth annual Yarmouth Art Festival. The juried show, created in 2009, will be held Oct. 17-20 at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, 396 Gilman Road, about a mile from Cousins Island.

Any artist 18 or older who maintains a residence in Maine may submit paintings, sculptures, photography, etchings and digital media. The entry fee is $15 per person for the first piece, $10 for the second and $5 for each additional work. All fees and commissions support St. Bartholomew’s community services.

Submissions will be accepted online until 6 p.m. Sept. 21 and must include a digital image of each entry. Participating artists are responsible for delivering their work to the show. For an entry form and the rules, visit www.yarmouthartfestival.com.

The 2011 festival drew more than 300 entries, with nearly 165 pieces from 75 artists selected for display. A total of 45 pieces were sold.

St. Bartholomew’s bright, post-and-beam sanctuary will be converted into an art gallery for the event. The show will be open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. An artists reception, including music and refreshments, will be held Thursday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Admission is free for the festival and reception, with donations accepted.
