LEWISTON — Lewiston Adult Education has more than 30 personal enrichment courses starting in September alone. Courses are available in a wide range of subjects, including arts, crafts, cooking, computers, dance, fitness, family issues, music and many other hobbies.

For members of the community looking for a way to live a healthier lifestyle, Lewiston Adult Education will offer a variety of fitness, dance and personal wellness courses, including: ballroom dance, golf for beginners, hypnosis for weight loss, Kundalini yoga, line dance, meditation, metaphysics and universal consciousness, tai chi and Zumba.

Several art and craft courses are scheduled to start in September, including drawing by observation, introduction to one stroke painting, watercolor for beginners, beginner/intermediate knitting and crocheting basics.

Computer classes have also been planned, including Adobe Photoshop, computer basics for seniors, MS Excel and PC troubleshooting and maintenance.

September parenting and family classes will include courses on bullying, aging in place, the signs of Alzheimer’s and “Oh, My Aching Back.”

Lewiston Adult Education will also be offering courses in other hobby areas, including introduction to guitar, hands-on food preservation, woodworking, intro to electricity and personal auto repair.

Two Saturday morning historical walking tours will also be available, one of Lewiston’s Mill District and one of Lewiston’s Downtown District.
