Turner American Legion Post 111 honored scholarship winners Aimee Giffune of Turner and Jesse Juntura of Greene before a gathering of family and friends. Aimee will attend Clarkson University; Jesse will attend Colby College. Mark Hite of Leeds was also honored as the community’s representative to Dirigo Boys State. Following the presentations, two members of the Greatest Generation, Henry Poisson and Clifford Eisner were presented with Department of the Army medals for their action in the Battle of the Bulge.
