AARP Safe Driving, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13. Cost, $14, payable to AARP; $12 for AARP members. Drivers 55 and older who complete this class are eligible for discounts on their auto insurance premiums for three years.

PolyPharmacy: Multiple medications, 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 18. Bring a list of your meds, both prescriptions and over-the-counter. Work with the pharmacist one-on-one to be certain that the combination of meds is a healthy combination.
Art that leaves with you!, 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 20. Cost, $45 supplies, lesson. No experience necessary. Participants will leave with a landscape in oils.
An introduction to hospice, 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25. Be informed consumers in choosing medical care that makes sense when faced with a life limiting illness.
Curious about your family history?, Tuesday, Sept. 25, choice of one-on-one session, 1 to 2 p.m., 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. or 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The instructor will work with participants for an hour using genealogical resources to find people in their family tree. Bring curiosity, knowledge and any information (names, dates, places) you may have.
Basic estate planning: What do you really need?, 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26. Instructor, Kathleen Kienitz, elder law attorney. Learn the ABCs of estate planning. Which documents are necessary and which are not.
Medicare information, 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26. Learn the basics and timelines of this complex system, when to sign up and ways to save money.
Putting your garden to bed and winter care of houseplants, 10 to 11:30 a.m. Date: Thursday, Sept. 27. Jody Goodwin will share what needs to be done and what can be avoided each fall with a garden. Also, hear which plants will do best inside the house.
