Coach: Sean Galipeau-Eldridge (11th year)

Last year’s results: Boys — 15th in Western B; Girls — Ninth in Western B.

Returning athletes: Boys: Senior — Jeremy Doane, Tyler Hemond, Ian Pickett, Taylor Wood; Sophomores — Chris Lobley, Joe Principe, Jeremy Sampson; Girls: Sophomores — Kristina Smith, Hannah Belanger, Whisper Waite.

Key losses: Jake MacDonald, Connor Pinkham, Amanda Gagnon, Renee Reid, Anna Poirier.

Promising newcomers: Boys: Seniors — Dakota Wyne, Robert Emerson; Junior — Coady Lagasse; Freshmen — Robbie Cleaves, Eddie Scott; Girls: Freshman —Norma Williams.

Outlook: With the leadership from four-year mainstays Doane, Hemond and Pickett and additions of Wyne and Lagasse, the Knights’ rebuilding program should take a big step forward. Doane, Hemond and Lobley had great summers running, and that momentum may carry over into lower pack times and scores. Smith, the defending WMC champion, is one of the fastest runners in the state. The hope is the dedication of the sophomore class brings out more runners to help the program grow.

Coach’s comment: “This team will be built around lowering pack times and advancing its lead runners up into the front.” — Coach Sean Galipeau-Eldridge
