PARIS — Kenny Lynch led a second-half rally worthy of pizza and celebration as Oxford Hills came from a 2-0 deficit to post a 5-2 win over Skowhegan in a boys’ soccer tilt Thursday.
Lynch led the revved-up Vikings (1-4) to their first victory of 2012 with a hat trick, while Matt Beauchesne and RJ Card also tallied.
Freshmen keeper Jake Beauchesne made nine saves to notch the win.
Erskine 2, Mt. Blue 1
FARMINGTON — Dason Cullivan found the net with less than six minutes left in regulation to give Erskine a 2-1 victory over Mt. Blue in a KVAC boys’ soccer matchup.
Ryan Rodrigue gave the Eagles (2-1-1) a 1-0 advantage in the first frame. Ike Doiron gave the Cougars (1-3) their lone goal in the second half to avoid the shutout.
Jared Gartley made nine saves for Erskine, while Zack Jackson deflected five shots for Mt. Blue.
Gray-New Gloucester 4, Freeport 0
GRAY — Jack Martell led a group of four players ro record goals as Gray-New Gloucester hustled to a 4-0 victory over Freeport on Thursday.
Jake Streak, Tyler St. Pierre and Josh Keene also tallied for the Patriots (3-1-1) to complete the scoring.
Nick Rogers made nine saves to preserve the shutout.
Dirigo 3, Mt. Abram 1
SALEM — Chad Snowman netted a pair of goals and dished of an assist to propel Dirigo to a 3-1 win over Mt. Abram in boys’ soccer action Thursday.
After a scoreless first frame, both offenseive units hit high gear. Hunter Ross also tallied for the Cougars (5-1) to complete the scoring.
Ethan Boyd scored the lone goal for Mt. Abram (2-4) to make it a 2-1 contest.
Veteran keeper Mike Chow made eight saves for Dirigo, while Tristan Dyer deflected nine shots between the posts for Mt. Abram.
Mt. Ararat 2, Edward Little 0
TOPSHAM — Will Hirnak and Nathan Santeramo each scored a goal Thursday as Mt. Ararat rolled to a low-key 2-0 KVAC win over Edward Little.
Hirnak scored on a corner with 8:45 remaining in the contest. Santeramo scored directly off a free kick from 25 yards out with 40 seconds left in regulation to complete the scoring.
Gabe Pelletier made five saves for Mt. Ararat, while Llewellyn Jensen turned aside 18 shots for the Red Eddies.
Pine Tree 4, Rangeley 2
RANGELEY — Andrew Goorhuis scored a pair of goals as Pine Tree beat Rangeley, 4-2, in a boys’ soccer game Thursday.
Bosong Gong and Chris Wilday each added a goal for Pine Tree. Pine Tree held a 3-1 lead after the first half.
A.J. Elmes and Rick Thompson scored goals for the Lakers. Elmes also earned an assist.
Oak Hill 2, Wiscasset 1
WALES — Oak Hill (1-3-1) found the net open in the second half and held on for a 2-1 victory over stubborn Wiscasset (2-1-1) in a boys’ soccer game Thursday.
Trever Sampson scored the Raiders’ first goal, unassisted, and teammate Logan Gardner punched in the second goal on Sampson assist.
Wiscasset finally responded with a goal late in the second half. Matt Mills headed in a penalty kick with 2:51 left in the game.
Oak Hill goalie Kyle Fields made 12 saves.
