SKOWHEGAN — Abbie Eastman and Mikayla Morin each punched in unassisted goals in the second half as Oxford Hills dismissed Skowhegan, 2-0, in a girls’ soccer game Thursday.

The teams played through a scoreless first half before the Vikings found the net.

Oxford Hills goalie Samantha Bickford made 11 saves to preserve the shutout. The Vikings outshot Skowhegan, 27-14.

In the junior varsity game, Oxford Hills beat Skowhegan, 6-0.

Mt. Ararat 3, EL 0

AUBURN — Maddie Prescott punched in a pair of unassisted goals and teammate Cecilia Oullette topped off Mt. Ararat’s lead with another goal as the Eagles soared past Edward Little, 3-0, in a girls’ soccer game Thursday.

The Eagles (3-1) controlled the game, outshooting EL (2-2), 18-10. Red Eddie goalie Taylor Landry was busy in net, making 15 saves.

Brunswick 3, Lewiston 2

LEWISTON — Rachel Mornoney scored with 15 minutes left to lift Brunswick to a 3-2 win over Lewiston in KVAC girls’ soccer Thursday.

The Dragons (5-0) were down 1-0 at the half and built a 2-1 lead on a pair of second half goals by Paine Tetu. Lewiston tied the game 2-2 on a Sam Cote goal.

Lewiston’s first half tally came from Gabby Barrett. Lex Jimenez made 15 saves for the Blue Devils (0-4-1).

Freeport 2, Gray-New Gloucester 1

FREEPORT — Jordan Darden fired a shot from 15 yards out into the net with just two minutes remaining to give Freeport a 2-1 win over Gray-New Gloucester in WMC girls’ soccer action Thursday.

Julia Smith gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead in the first frame. The Patriots answered early in the second when Taylor Darnell converted a fine pass from Alex Moelleur.

Aubrey Pennell needed only one save to notch the win, while Sam Wilkins turned aside six shots in the cage for Gray-New Gloucester.

Medomak Valley 2, Leavitt 0

WALDOBORO — Jordan Moore and Lexi Gethner both tallied single goals for Medomak Valley as they overpowered Leavitt 2-0 in girls’ soccer action Thursday.

Moore picked up a loose ball in front of the net to get the Panthers (2-2) on the board. Gethner put the game out of reach with 9:53 remaining as she was able to deflect the ball into the net off a blocked shot.

Amanda Hendrickson-Belloguet made 10 saves for Medomnak Valley, while Angela Daigle turned back eight shots for Leavitt.
