What happened to a government “for the people” instead of the few?

Thanks to Gov. Paul LePage’s cuts to social services, respite care is no longer available for my handicapped son. I have been caring for him for 50 years. He was entitled to five days per month. It allowed my husband and I to recharge by spending a few days at camp.

I will be voting for Colleen Quint for state Senate and Maurice Castonguay for District 81 state representative because I believe they are the best choice for the elderly, disabled and disadvantaged. They will work with fellow legislators to arrive at fairness for all.

When I see commercials on television advertising fuel economy (buy a hybrid), I wonder and get angry for the average family. Is a $50,000 car a reality?

What families need are good-paying jobs. Companies need to be encouraged to return to the wonderful U.S.A.
