MONMOUTH — Kylie Kemp fired off a direct kick from 30 yards out and punched in the game-winning goal with four seconds left in double overtime as Monmouth slipped away with a 1-0 victory in a girls’ soccer game Saturday.
The contest was a tight defensive match, with a combined total of 14 shots taken by both teams. Monmouth goalie Adriane Gonzalez made five saves to preserve the shutout.
Lisbon 5, Carrabec 1
CARRABEC — Kayla Angelico scored four goals, including two on penalty shots, as Lisbon defeated Carrabec, 5-1, in MVC soccer action Saturday.
Gabby Ouellette scored the other goal for the Greyhounds (4-0-1). Dakota Bisson made four saves for Lisbon. Lea Poirier scored the only goal of the game for Carrabec (1-4-1) .
Falmouth 3,
Gray-NG 1
GRAY — More opportunities turned into more goals for Falmouth in a 3-1 victory over Gray-New Gloucester in WMC soccer action Saturday.
The Yachtsmen outshot the Patriots, 27-5. Kaitlyn Bucksham, Julie Spagnardi and Alex Bernier scored for Falmouth (5-0).
Taylor Darnell had the lone marker for Gray-New Gloucester (2-3). Sam Wilkins made 14 saves for the Patriots.
Caroline Lucas stopped three shots for the Yachtsmen.
Devils, Indians tie
LEWISTON — Kaitlyn Therriault tied the game on a penalty kick with 3:55 remaining in regulation and Skowhegan held Lewiston to a 1-1 tie over the next two overtime frames in girls’ soccer action Saturday.
The Blue Devils (0-4-2) outshot Skowhegan by a margin of 21-6 in the contest. But, Lewiston failed to break the Indians’ (1-4-1) defenses and remain winless on the season.
Goalie Lexie Jiminez made five saves in net for Lewiston, while Andrea Quirion turned back 17 shots for Skowhegan.
Poland 5, Traip 0
POLAND — Senior striker Emma Turton had a hat trick as Poland blanked Traip 5-0 in WMC girls’ soccer action Saturday.
The Knights (2-2-1) jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead. Emily Bolduc contributed a goal and two assists for Poland.
Goalie Allie MacCombe made several great saves among her 18 stops for the Rangers (0-4), while goalie Haley Whitworth had one stop for the win in net for Poland.
Buckfield 5, Vinalhaven 0
BUCKFIELD — Dakota Warren and Naudia Wesley each scored a pair of goals as Buckfield bounced winless Vinalhaven (0-3) with a 5-0 victory in a girls’ soccer game Saturday.
The Bucks (4-2) jumped out to 1-0 lead in the first half before unloading on Vinalhaven with four more goals in the second half. Elizabeth Damon rounded out the scoring for the Bucks.
Buckfield dominated the game with 24 shots on net to Vinalhaven’s 7. Gabby Therriault got the win in net for the Bucks, making four saves.

Spruce Mountain 0
AUBURN — Sophomore forward Faith Grady scored the eventual game-winning goal 25:63 into the contest as St. Dom’s sailed to a 3-0 victory over Spruce Mountain in girls’ soccer action Saturday.
Goalie Emily Keene made 11 saves for the Pheonix (3-3-1), while goalie Kelly Pomerleau turned back 17 shots to earn the win in net for St. Dom’s (5-0-1).

LEWISTON — Kelsey Dumond scored twice in the second half as Lewiston pulled away for a 3-0 win over Brunswick in KVAC field hockey action Saturday.
Samantha Clark scored the first goal for the Blue Devils. Ravon Palmer made one save as Lewiston outshot Brunswick, 23-5. Sydney Escoe stopped 16 shots in the cage for the Dragons (0-5-1).

Oxford Hills 0
BREWER — Rachel Kart recorded the game’s lone goal as Brewer conjured up a 1-0 victory over Oxford Hills in field hockey action Saturday.
Centerback Erica Jackson had a good defensive performance for Oxford Hills (0-4-1).
Leavitt 9, Lincoln 0
TURNER — Sadie Royer scored three consecutive goals in the first half as Leavitt buzzed Lincoln Academy 9-0 in field hockey action Saturday.
Emily Shaw, Brianna DeGone and Emma Martineau contributed a pair of consecutive goals during intervals of the contest for the Hornets (4-1). DeGone also chipped in with a pair of assists.
Goalie Andrea Call made 22 saves for the Eagles (0-6), while goalies Kate Audet and Sierra Santamango only needed to turn away one shot for Leavitt.
EL 2, Bangor 1
BANGOR — Hannah Johnston used a Sophie Harris pass in front of the Bangor net and popped in the winning goal in the second half, allowing Edward Little (2-4) to shake off the Rams, 2-1, in a field hockey game Saturday.
Johnston scored her first goal in the first half on a Kaelina Perron assist.
The Rams (1-5) tied it in the second half when Jessa Pray scored an unassisted goal. EL goalie Amanda Williams made seven saves and the Red Eddies outshot the Rams, 16-8.
Morse 2, Leavitt 0
TURNER — Morgan Cram hit a long direct kick to put Morse on the board as the Shipbuilders chugged to a 2-0 victory over Leavitt in girls’ soccer action Saturday.
The Shipbuilders scored in each half. Bess Howell posted a goal with 18:00 remaining in regulation.
Goalie Angela Daigle made 13 saves for the Hornets, while goalie Sadia Crosby fended off seven shots for Morse.
