AUBURN — Kory Norcross grabbed a pass from Kate Sawyer and fired it inside the far post from 12 yards out to give Edward Little a 1-0 double-overtime win over Erskine Academy in KVAC girls; soccer action Tuesday.

Veteran keeper Taylor Landry made 15 saves for the Red Eddies (3-3) to notch the shutout. Paige Leary turned aside nine shots between the posts for Erskine.

Oxford Hills 2, Cony 0

PARIS — Ellex Loper and Colleen Stauder each tallied second-half goals Tuesday afternoon as Oxford Hills snuck past Cony, 2-0, in KVAC girls’ soccer action.

Samantha Bickford made 10 saves in the driving rain for Oxford Hills, while Autumn Sudsbury deflected 10 shots in the cage for Cony.

Camden Hills 2, Leavitt 0

CAMDEN — Caroline Matteo and Emma Gutheinz each scored a goal as Camden Hills shut out Leavitt, 2-0, in a girls’ soccer game Tuesday.

Matteo punched in her goal from outside the 18 in the first half. In the second half, Gutheinz scored off a deflection. Camden Hills goalie Rachel Pease made six saves to preserve her shutout.

Field hockey

Mountain Valley 5, Hall-Dale 0

RUMFORD — Nicole Burgess netted a four goals Tuesday as Mountain Valley overpowered Hall-Dale 5-0 in MVC field hockey action.

Kayla Pingree also tallied for the Falcons (5-2-1) to complete the scoring.

Vanessa Sweat needed only one save to record the shutout.

Winthrop 3, Telstar 0

WINTHROP — Rachel Ingram netted a goal in each half as Winthrop outgunned Telstar 3-0 in in field hockey action Tuesday.

Emmah Spahr also tallied for the Ramblers (7-1) to complete the scoring, while Mary Claire Blanchard added a pair of assists.

Alyssa Arsenault didn’t need a single save to notch the shutout, while Halli Barter deflected eight shots for the Rebels (1-7).

Mt. Ararat 1, Oxford Hills 0

TOPSHAM — Kaitlyn LaFontaine tallied an unassisted goal at the 16:30 mark of the second frame to lift Mt. Ararat to a 1-0 win over Oxford Hills in field hockey action Tuesday.

Taylor Pare made four saves for the Eagles (5-2-1) to notch the shutout, while Abi Egan and Shannon Fillebrown combined to deflect five shots in net for the Vikings (0-5-1).

Lewiston 2, Brewer 0

BREWER — Jenessa Talarico and Natalie Rousseau took turns scoring a goal as Lewiston bounced Brewer (3-3-2) with a 2-0 victory in a field hockey game Tuesday.

Talarico used a Kelsey Dumond feed and scored in the first half. In the second half, Rousseau received assistance from Talarico and Dumond and scored her goal.

The Blue Devils (6-1) outshot the Witches, 28-18, and Lewiston goalie Ravon Palmer made 14 saves.

Brunswick 3, EL 0

AUBURN — Hannah Bobker scored a pair of goals and Grace Rabinowitz topped it off with her goal in the second half as Brunswick sidestepped Edward Little with a 3-0 victory in a field hockey game Tuesday.

The Red Eddies (2-5) dominated the game, especially in the second half, and outshot the Dragons, 18-7. EL also held the advantage in corners, 13-2, but the Eddies could not find the open net.
