Mexico police officer William Cook said Sara Worcester, 40, of Mexico, the driver of the 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan minivan, attempted to pass a tractor-trailer flatbed truck driven by Earl Cummings, 55, of Sherman, as it turned right off Veterans Bridge onto Route 2 on Friday afternoon. Cook said the rig had its right-turn directional lights on at the time. Damage to the minivan was estimated at $8,000; damage to the big rig was to a directional signal. There were no injuries and no charges.
