LEWISTON — A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Fernand R. Mathieu was celebrated by the Rev. Aaron Damboise Saturday morning at Holy Family Church of the Prince of Peace Parish. During Mass, Fern’s grandson, Tyler Turgeon, read the first scripture reading. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Fern’s granddaughters, Darcy Hamann, Kylee Ames, as well as Jessica and Jennifer Mathieu. Words of remembrance of Fern were then shared at the conclusion of Mass by Fern’s oldest grandson, Jim Mathieu.

 

The urn bearers were Fern’s grandsons, Jim and Steve Mathieu, as well as Tyler and Ryan Turgeon. Following services, all were invited to a reception at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston. Burial will be held at a later date in the family plot at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Lisbon. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home, Lewiston.
