LEWISTON — Market-goers can plan to shop at the Lewiston Farmers’ Market at Bates Mill 5 on the corner of Lincoln and Main streets from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Sunday, Oct. 14, the weekend of the Dempsey Challenge.

Those participating in the challenge can expect to receive $1 off any purchase they make at the market that day for participating in the challenge by showing their “bib.” A

The market is still offering its Market Dollar program. For every $2 spent with SNAP or WIC, participants receive $1 back. Other ways include the “You Got the Beet” walk, run, cycle. Participants in the weekly event get entered into a drawing to win $125 credit to the market. 

The Winter Market will open Thursday, Nov. 15, and will be open every third Thursday of the month from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center, 208 Bates St.
