LIVERMORE FALLS — The annual Apple Pumpkin Festival, featuring food, music and crafts, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Livermore Falls Recreation Field. Admission is free.

Besides foods, there will be musical performances and vendors that include crafters, businesses and nonprofit organizations. The fun will include educational opportunities such as Canine Castle Academy, Livermore Falls Animal Control, Livermore Falls Fire Department and Washburn-Norlands Living History Center.

Community events during the day are the Treat Memorial Library’s annual book sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the library on Main Street; harvest supper from 4 to 6:30 at St. Rose Hall on Church Street in Jay; and Maine Paper and Heritage Museum Tours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 22 Church St. in Livermore Falls.

Moose Creek Loggers will perform from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the recreation field. Music performances at stages on the field will feature Nickels and Dimes from 10 to 11 a.m.; Paul Bright, 11 a.m. to noon; The Pinkhams, noon to 1 p.m.; Barry Wood, 1 to 2 p.m.; and Greater Purpose, from 2 to 3 p.m.

The field is accessed from behind the Livermore Falls Municipal Building on Foundry Road. The road will be one-way for the day with vehicles exiting onto Route 133, which is Park Street.

To keep tabs on the festival in case it rains heavily, check the website applepumpkinfestival.org for updates. The Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the festival as it has for the past several years.
