LIVERMORE FALLS — The GFWC/Livermore Falls Women’s Club met recently to set the agenda for the first year of the new administration that begins in September.

A yard sale was held on Sept. 7 and 8.

The installation of new officers will take place Friday, Sept. 28.

In October members will travel to Ellsworth for the Maine Fall Conference. The October meeting will be the membership meeting to accept new members.

A bake sale will be held at the November election to benefit the food pantry. The Christmas lunch, in conjunction with the Historical Society, will happen in December.

Regular meetings will take place in January, March and April with various speakers. There will be an ice cream social at the May meeting. A second election bake sale will be held in June to benefit the barn-raising at Norlands.

Several members regularly attend the Women’s Legislative Council meetings in Augusta.

The two special projects of the co-presidents are the food pantry and the Livermore Public Library. In addition, they will be working for veterans in Togus, domestic violence shelters and newborns in need.

The GFWC/Livermore Falls Club is open to anyone in the surrounding area.
