WATERVILLE — Miranda Tinsman scored with six minutes remaining to give Thomas College a 2-1 victory over University of Maine-Farmington in a North Atlantic Conference field hockey matchup Wednesday.
The game was scoreless in the first half until Brittany Premo scored at the 38:22 mark in the second half on a pass from Tinsman.
The Beavers (3-5) tied it at 54:51 on an own goal from Thomas.
Sofia Sourgiadakis had seven saves in the victory for Thomas (4-7).
Farmington held an 11-6 shot advantage and 10-5 in penalty corners.

BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin scored four times in the second half to pull away from the University of Maine-Farmington on Wednesday afternoon, 5-0.
Kiersten Turner scored twice in the win for the Polar Bears (7-1), who put the game out of reach with three goals in a 13-minute span in the second half.
Amanda Kinneston, Audrey Phillips and Casey Blossom rounded out the scoring for Bowdoin.
Beth Lebel finished with 14 saves for the Beavers (6-4-1). Bridget McCarthy and Louise Johnson combined on the shutout in net for Bowdoin.
