RUMFORD — Rachel Ingram scored on a feed from Mary-Claire Blanchard with 21 minutes to play in the game to snap a tie and lift Winthrop to a 2-1 victory over Mountain Valley in an MVC field hockey showdown Wednesday.
Blanchard scored the Ramblers’ first goal in the first half, and Nicole Burgess answered for the Falcons (8-3-1). Alyssa Arsenault made 10 saves for Winthrop (10-1-1), while Vanessa Swett stopped eight for Mountain Valley.
Oak Hill 4, Boothbay 1
BOOTHBAY — The Oak Hill field hockey squad managed two goals in each half Wednesday and came away with a 4-1 victory over Boothbay.
Heather Hannigan and Kylee Veilleux tallied goals for the Raiders (5-7-0), while Hayley Marshall and Danielle Samson added goals. Abby Fuller made a pair of saves for Oak Hill.
Lisbon 9, Hall-Dale 1
LISBON —  Arianna Kahler collected a hat trick to lead Lisbon to a 9-1 victory over Hall-Dale in MVC field hockey action Wednesday.
Hanna Jordan added two goals for the Greyhounds, while Bailey, Cutler and Olivia Harrington chipped in with a goal. Nicole Jones and Sarah Jones also scored for Lisbon (11-0-1), while Stevie Charest stopped four shots in goal.

Lake Region 0
GRAY —  Julia Martel scored one goal and assisted on the other as Gray-New Gloucester blanked Lake Region, 2-0, in WMC girls’ soccer action.
Alex Moeller scored the other goal for the Patriots (4-5-2), while Sam Wilkins’ made two saves in net.
Hebron 4, Hyde 0
BATH — Lily Bourget and Ashley Conrad scored two goals apiece to lead Hebron to a 4-0 victory over Hyde on Wednesday.
Haley Bisson assisted on both of Conrad’s goals while Conrad and Lexie Stefekos also recorded assists for the Lumberjacks (2-1) .
Boys’ soccer
Bangor 2, Mt. Blue 0
BANGOR— Nate Bach scored a goal and earned an assist as Bangor shutout Mt.Blue 2-0 in a boys’ soccer game Wednesday.
Bach’s unassisted goal put the Rams ahead 1-0 in the first half. Zach Papsadora added the other goal. Bangor goalie Colton Markevich preserved the shutout with three saves.
Gray-NG 7,
Lake Region 0
NAPLES —  Jake LaCerda recorded a rare trifects, a goal, an assist and a save, as Gray-New Gloucester blanked Lake Region, 7-0, in WMC boys’ soccer action Wednesday.
Tyler St. Pierre, Jake Street, Eric Wilcox, Casey Myhaver, Josh Harper and Josh Kane also scored for the Patriots (5-3-2).
LaCerda combined with Nick Rogers and Brendan McNally to make two saves in goal. Pat Irish made six saves for the Lakers (1-9).
