MEXICO — The Police Department handled 42 incidents in the past week. Among them were the following.
Thefts
A Middle Avenue resident reported at 3:13 p.m. Oct. 2 that someone entered her unlocked vehicle between Sept. 29 and30 and took a GPS valued at $100.
A Main Street resident reported at 8:58 a.m. Oct. 1 that someone entered her unlocked vehicle between Sept. 29 and 30 and took a CD player and several CDs valued at about $400.
A Main Street resident reported at 8:21 p.m. Sept. 29 that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and took an unspecified amount of change.
Police believe all vehicle thefts are connected. The department has several suspects.
Burglaries
A Kimball Avenue resident reported at 11:05 a.m. Sept. 27 that a forced entry was made into her home. Copper pipes valued at about $350 were taken. About $100 damage was done to the door. Police have suspects.
An Oak Street resident reported at 12:50 p.m. Sept. 26 that someone entered his home and took a coin collection valued at more than $300.
Underage drinking
Police responded to a noise complaint at 8:49 p.m. Sept. 30 at a Holman Avenue residence. Given a summons on a charge of illegal possession of alcohol was Damion Dobson, 19, of Pine Street, Rumford.
