Sawyer

LEWISTON — The wedding of Alicia Nicole Malo and Tyler Ryan Sawyer was held at 1 p.m. on June 30 at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston. Deacon Irenee Richard officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Sawyer is the daughter of Dave and Cindy Malo of Auburn. Mr. Sawyer is the son of Bradley Sawyer of Auburn and Michelle Knapp of York.

Hannah Giasson, friend of the bride, served as honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Tara Churchill and Michalah Burrows, friends of the bride, Abby Sawyer, sister of the bridegroom, and Michela Beaulier, famly friend. Grace Malo, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Serving as best men were Zachary Netherland, friend of the bridegroom, and Drew Buerhaus, cousin of the bridegroom. Ushers were Zak Sawyer and Isaac Sawyer, brothers of the bridegroom, and Josh Malo, brother of the bride. Andrew Malo, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

A reception folllowed at the Royal Oak Room at Iron Horse Court in Lewiston, after which the couple traveled to Oahu in Hawaii. They are residing in Auburn.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from St. Joseph’s College and is employed at New Gloucester Memorial School.

The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Southern Maine and is employed in quality control for Water Microbiology at IDEXX in Westbrook.
