Thanks to Rep. Sheryl Briggs, March 30 is Vietnam War Remembrance Day in Maine. This is recognition long overdue for thousands of Maine veterans.

Thanks to Rep. Briggs, more sportsmen can enjoy Maine and help create jobs at local businesses. That is because she serves on the Committee on Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, overseeing these important resources.

Thanks to Rep. Briggs, Maine’s middle class can sleep a little easier at night. Rep. Briggs is fighting for them, and she does not go away when things get tough.

For six years, I have seen Rep. Briggs advocate for veterans, for jobs, for the middle class, and for all Mainers — from the very young to the most senior citizens. Her heart is big enough for all of them.

The people of Canton, Carthage, Dixfield, Mexico and Peru have chosen well. They need to do it again on Nov. 6.
